FAQ

  • It is never recommended to use suction cups on windows for anything larger than an ornament- they can fall unexpectedly due to temperature changes or moisture. Instead, install an eyehook at the top of your window frame for a more worry-free hold.

Panels and ornaments will always arrive ready to hang. Panels will have either chain or faux suede cording attached depending on size/weight and smaller items like ornaments will have a tied loop of faux suede cording.

Always place stained glass in a safe area away from interferences and out of reach from children and pets.

  • Any hanging pieces will arrive with either faux suede cording or chain attached (depending on the size & weight of your piece).

But I can’t guess the length needed for your particular space and aesthetic!

It is easy to adjust the length of chain to fit your space better.

I recommend buying a length of “jack chain” in 14 or 16 gauge. It’s easy to buy by the foot (under $1 per foot at Home Depot, for instance).

After measuring for the length you’d like, simply pry open the chain link using two needle nose pliers. Once the length you want is affixed to the hooks on your piece, you can easily crimp the link back to its closed position using said pliers.

    Quick, easy, and cheap.

  • It is normal for solder to change in color over time depending on the color of patina used.

If over time you need to restore luster to the glass itself, add a tiny amount of Carnauba Wax-based car polish (Mother's brand is great and can be found in auto aisle of a grocery store) and gently burnish in all directions with a soft, clean rag, using care around the outer edges so you don’t peel away any solder. Move to cleaner spots of the rag every so often as you burnish, until all of the polish disappears completely.

    Windex is not recommended.

Occasionally, you might see bits of white "crust" form along solder lines over time (the bane of every stained glass artist). Should you find any, you can remove it using an old dry toothbrush or gently using the sharp end of a toothpick.

  • Most stained glass uses solder with lead in it (a 60% tin/40% lead ratio is most common). Since you won't be using your pieces to exfoliate your skin or eat off of, you will be fine- just give your hands a wash after placing your item in a secure space away from interference.

Always keep stained glass out of reach from children and pets.

For the time being, I only mass produce smaller stained glass items (think ornament sized or nighlights).

As a single person, handmade operation, these are small batch amounts and require 3 week advance notice at minimum.

  • I like to help when & where I can. Send me an email regarding your organization / event / silent auction

  • Some items have shipping included, others do not. See individual item listings for any specifics.

I often use USPS Priority Shipping, the benefits of which are faster shipping and trackability. Once you have received your tracking number, the package is out of my hands. If you encounter any issues, they will need to be addressed with USPS.

I try to reuse packing materials from packages I’ve received to pack my stained glass work securely and to produce less waste.

US/Canada Only: As of this time I only ship within the US, but hope to wrap my head around international shipping in the future.

  • For many reasons, I do not accept returns or exchanges.

My product descriptions include clear photos, detailed descriptions, and accurate measurements. If you have any questions, I am happy to answer them.
